This provides real-time risk analysis, mitigation and DAA recommendations to the flight control system. Whilst Volant have some safety and software assurance experience, they were looking to upskill and get timely help in developing their certification approach.

    Neuron

    Neuron is a UK-based technology company who deploy distributed sensor networks to power the next generation of connected vehicles and systems within the aviation, security and mobility sectors. Neuron were concerned that their approach to software development and assurance may not meet regulatory approval. In particular to UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) CAP670 standards and EASA ED-109A standards.

  • Transcend Packaging

    Setup in 2017, Transcend Packaging produces paper straws. It has partnerships with several fast-food outlets and hospitality chains. To support growth, the company recognises a need for digital transformation - production management to be data-driven through automated machine monitoring processes. However, many of the production machines don’t produce digital information or require software development to process it.

  • Mayden

    Mayden Software Ltd produces and maintains software for the NHS specifically for the recording of mental health patient records. The NHS desire better and more efficient improvements in their mental health therapeutic practices. It was identified that automated machine learning techniques would be an efficient way of inferring patient recommendations - extracting the relevant features from Mayden’s extremely large dataset.

  • Border Force

    Fujitsu Defence (FJ) are the systems integrator for the new UK Border Force automated DevOps platform for immigration services. FJ had a knowledge gap around modern-day DevOps practices and needed help at all levels (leadership and technical) to develop and integrate platform services with applications from Leidos, Border Force and Appvia. The project needed a step-wise change to meet budgetary and quality constraints.

  • Vibrant

    Vibrant Energy Matters (VEM) run call centre operations for large UK estate agents. VEM have a legacy job-booking system called VLive which whilst reliable, only manages job-bookings and some of the functionality around assessment results and invoicing. They desired a replacement full lifecycle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Evolve which would perform full routing, invoicing and partial HR functionality.

  • AB Dynamics

    Formed in 1982, AB Dynamics is the world’s leading producer of automotive test systems - supplying to 25 of the largest car manufacturing companies. A number of AB Dynamics clients have asked if their self-drive capability can be integrated into the car itself in order to provide a self-drive capability for those manufacturers. However, AB Dynamics software is not compliant to standards such as MISRA and ISO26262.
